Vostok Rising 829K SP Authored by- Ed Cope aka Scope
This level is in .pak form. Please read the authors .txt file for instructions on how to run this level or see the Help page on this site. With one AWOQ2 Killer Map award under his belt for "Gib me Liberty" Ed has won yet another award for this really cool level! He has one of the most impressive storylines I have seen explaining why you are where you are and it sets the mood of the level perfectly. When I played this level in the hard skill I found it to be quite challenging as I had to use a little strategy to stay alive since the monster placement and item placement were both good. The game flow and level design is very smooth, I always pretty much knew where I would have to go next. There is one secret you will really be happy to find =) Did I mention FUN?? Well, it was a super fun level to play with plenty of things to do and see in it. Grab it today! |

Death Is Not Worth Trying 451K SP Authored by- YooShin Yang
This level starts out outside a pretty cool looking base.
YooShin keeps getting better with every map I have seen so far as he has a special knack for monster placement and good architecture.
This level was a whole lot of fun for me to play and was quite a challenge on hard skill. The gameflow was really smooth and nice combined with the great ambience and lighting I found throughout the level.
You will find the 3 secrets will help you a lot in the hard skill and they are fun to find as well. Some of the rotating entities were very well executed and were great to see in action. Don't miss this level, get it today!

Hadley's Hope 622K SP/DM 2-16 players Authored by- John E. Schuchr
A space station level (i think) which was really a surprise to me.
I had tons of fun playing this and really enjoyed seeing all the different effects the author has put together in this map. Some of the architecture was really stunning and pretty and he has done a little of everything in just one map.
The game flow and design was excellent. There was only one secret to find but it was a good one. This map is also deathmatch ready for up to 16 players and it had good flow and balance which should make it pretty worthy for all. Download this level and have some real fun!

Incarceration 1M SP Authored by- Greg 'Manx' Barr
This level is on a prison ship in space. I really feel the author did a great job of making this as realistic as possible except for a prisoner having a gun in the brig.
All difficulty setting were incorporated into this level and they all were representative of their level.
The game flow and level design was pretty fine and gave me a great sense of direction most of the time. The architecture was really done well with many cool things to look at.
He even had some great special effects. There were 3 secrets which will give you some pretty good things to get your job done. You will find this to be a lot of fun to play so grab it today!

The Training Ground 365K SP/DM ? Players Authored by- Ledman
This level was a whole lot of fun for me even though there were no difficulty levels. The monster placement was great as well as the general design.
The item placement was great too and provided enough ammo and weapons to get the job done. As its name implies it is a training map and had a lot of fun things to do and was great for basic training for any player.
I found the level to be a little too dark for my tastes but the author used the darkness to give a lot of advantage to your adversaries. It says in the text file that this is a deathmatch level also but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. For a lot of fun playing a level get this one today!

Hideout 279K SP Authored by- YooShin Yang
This level isn't really large but it is a solid playing single player map and it ROCKS!
I really enjoyed the great architecture and lighting and especially authors use of triggers in this level.
It was a very big challenge in the hard skill if you don't use the three secrets included.
Not bad for a practice map as the author describes it in his text files. If this is any hint of things to come you certainly enjoy his next levels =)

Gib Me Liberty... 707K SP Authored by- Ed Cope aka Scope
This level is Ed's first Quake2 single player level and provided me with a lot of great fun. I really liked the monster placement as it provided me with a real challenge in the hard skill until the end.
There are even some secrets along the way which will help you out a lot. The levels game flow was pretty smooth and the design was great making the player pretty involved in the game. The texture alignment was good and so was some of the architecture. Not too bad for his first Quake 2 level.
I look forward to seeing more of Ed's work in the future =)

MarTim12 "Raw Sewage" 461K SP/DM 4 players Authored by- The MarTim Team
The is the first MarTim level for Quake 2 and shows a lot of promise for any future levels they may make. You will start just above a sewer in the control area and fight your way out.
The monster placement was good and the game flow was pretty smooth but the end seemed to be just a little abrupt making me want a little more.
I thought it could have been a little harder but was still a challenge and a lot of fun the way it is.
You will find there is just enough ammo and health to get the job done so don't waste anything or you may find yourself quite dead.
This level should prove to be pretty good in deathmatch on a lan also with 4 player starts. Grab it and have fun.

Strogg Particle Laser 831K SP Authored by- Doug Magee
This is a very well constructed level with some great architecture.
With all of the difficulty levels implemented and a few changes here and there, this level is now quite a challenge and even more fun then the first version! I enjoyed the smooth game flow and it's plot and know you will too.
I certainly hope you are able to jump because in order to finish this level you will have to be right on target! The monster placement was pretty good throughout the level and I was even surprised a time or two. Enjoy this level today =)

The Man's Base 456K SP/DM 1-7 players Authored by- Jon Seigel
Here is a pretty good single player level which will make a good deathmatch level as well. I had a lot of fun with this map and found it to be quite a challenge in the hard skill.
The architecture is pretty much the basic Quake 2 stuff and there didn't seem to be any new textures but it looked fairly good and played well. You will also have fun finding the 3 secrets scattered throughout the level. The level's size wasn't to big but it felt pretty big. You might enjoy the maze in the warehouse.
It wasn't to hard to follow and provided lots of different combat situations. The game flow was pretty good and the monster placement was good as well. I'm sure you will enjoy it =)
