: : this sounds familiar...are you running in gl? if you're in software, and you're getting null skin and r_aliasdrawmodel errors, it's because the skin is not linked properly to the md2. take a look at where the tris.md2 and the weapon.pcx are, then open the tris.md2 in NST. at the top you'll see the directory where the skin should be. if it's not linked properly, then you can simply load the skin in nst, link the skin to the md2, then save the md2. that should solve your problem...if not then any error messages you get would be helpful, so would knowing where all the relevant files are on your hard drive.

: I am not running in gl, just software. I got NST and the skin was NOT linked, so I did that. Now when I run, I get R_AliasDrawModel - NULL skin found. I can open the model back up and the skin is still linked (listing the path name below the base directory).

well then, just make sure the skin is in the path specified in nst. if all else fails, you can recompile the model. i'd use qdata personally, it'll let ya specify the directory where the skin should be. there are some instrucions on how to use it on my website...i'm too lazy to write 'em again here :D
