MAX-> MD2 (R4???)

I'm a game developer making an engine that supports the md2 format (cause it rocks). I got MAX R4. Can't find a plugin for it, or a freeware program (still a student, can't afford that much) that will convert .MAX or .3DS to MD2. How can I convert MAX to MD2?
