Export from 3dsMax2 won't show

I just made a model in 3dsMax2, and exported it using qdata.
It has the right vertex count when running qdata, but the model doesn't show
in any model viewing program. Do I need every frame exported for this to
work? My .qgr file looks like this:

$modelname test.md2
$origin 0 0 24
$base player
$frame player player player

I used three player frames, because I don't need to
animate the model.
