Character studio is prolly the very best and easyers way of animating a humanoid model with 3dsmax. Your problem sounds like you have assigned all mesharm verts to the biped arm, if so then ofcours the arm gets separeted from the body. What you need to do is to assign some of the arm verts to the biped shoulder or something or just not divide the body into objects. If you look at the standard player you will see that there are 4 or so verts on the upper arm that seem to be assigned to the parent of the arm.

Anyway...dividing the body into objects is not always the best thing either and if you use CS then you prolly wont have any animation problems as a cause of using a single solid mesh.

: Hey i have made a model which has seperate meshes for the arms and i was wondering how to animate them.. I tried character studio but for some reason when i assign the amrs to the biped arms and move them.. they seperate from the body.. I was wondering if there is an easier way or a better way to animate models.. thanx alot..
