i put a tiny little bone at the end of an IK chain, 'cuase the book said it helps for control - is that what you mean by appropraite bone? i havent tried limiting the ranges yet, i figured i'd do it after everything was all set up. And yes, i put the nulls at the pivot point (you set the goal to the null on the pivot, yes?) Now, just to make sure, should i set limits first, or set teh goal first? and if i set the goal first, will the limits limit the bone from the rest position or the position they're in when you turn IK on?
