UVW mapping is simply a modifier in max. You apply
it by selecting your mesh, go into the modify tab,
and select UVW map. If its not listed right away
as always you press the 'more' button to see all
loaded modifiers that can be applied to the selected
object.

Bones: This is still dependant on what deformation
system you use. For example; The Bones Pro MAX deformation
system is added to the model by a Spacewarp. So to apply
that you first create the bonespro spacewarp and then
using the spacewarp linkage link the mesh to the spacewarp.
Character Studios deformations system is called Physique
and is a regular Modifier so you add that like you would
any modifier.

I dont know how to use Linked Xform but i suppose you
would apply it to sertain vertices and then link these
only to the bone they are supposed to take there translations
from.
