1.check if you got all paths right and that you realy have the files
should be quake2\base2\players\male
2. get the latest version of quake2 (you only need the small patch)
if that does not work, reinstall quake (you may have to download one of those realy big files but that does not matter)
: I know this is probably not the most appropriate place to post my question, but everytime I try to play a Q2 dm multiplayer game I get message saying something like "Can't fint pic players/male/grunt_i.pcx" over and over and over, What do I need to download to fix this?? God, I hope I don't have to download megs and megs of shit. Is there a zip out there that will fix this model? problem??? Without having to dl everything under the sun again??
