1. I downloaded a map, but how do I get it to run?  If the file is in the ZIP format, which is the most common, decompress the file (bsp), along with the text file included into you quake2/baseq/maps directory. Once you have done this, load up Quake 2, hit the ~ key for the console menu. Type "map name" minus the quotes and replace name with the name of the map. An example would be "map basedm2"  If you still do not understand, I suggest playing something else because you are lame.

2. What is a pak file and how is it different? Think of a pak file as being "packed" with shit.  The shit that it is packed with will include new texture's, sounds, graphics, and more shit. Pak files cannot be excuted like a regular map file and need to be placed in the Quake2/baseq directory.  The author of the map will usually include the instructions on how to do this in the text file.

3. I already have a pak2 file.  Do I copy over it, or what? That is your decision, but I suggest renaming the pak file to the next number up.  For example, if you already have a pak3 file in the directory, simply rename the new one pak4. This will allow you to keep your old pak without copying over it. Once the pak is in your quake2/baseq/ directory, you start the map up the same way using the console command in Quake2 by hitting the ~ key. Type "Map name"

4. What are bots?  Bots are human computer opponents who act and play like real players. Bots are useful if you like playing DM's.  They not only can help you improve your skill, but some can be more challenging then actual real life people, since difficulty levels can be adjusted.  Bots are also useful for those who suffer with poor ping rates and lousy ISP's, like America Offline, who want to play an actual DM without the lag. If your serious about bots, I recommend getting the CRBot or the Eraser bot.  I have tried just about all of them and recommend either one of the two..

5: Do you make maps and if you do where the hell are they?  Yeah I do, and have been making them ever since the Doom days. I'm not really serious into map making and cannot sit hour after hour working on a map. I usually just work on it when there is nothing else to do, almost like a last resort.  I have never released a map to the public. There are two in the process right now that I work on from time to time called UnderDM and Maximum Facility. 1 DM and 1 SP map that I plan on releasing to the public in the near future, or I should say, when I finally call it the "end" When release them, I will announce it on this site and will be waiting for all that hate mail. haha

6. Why the BS Review Qoutes of the day.  Sometimes they have nothing to do with the map itself? I just thought I would try something different then any other site on a less serious note. If you see it on any other Quake 2 review site, they are unoriginal fools who bit it from me. :)

7. Why don't you use Frames for you site? Once I get the money for a real editor, frames will be included on my sites. I will go with a whole new look. This Netscape Composer doesn't cut it.
