Sky Get the new sky working in
your level
If your like me you probably
wondered how id got the new sky to work in there levels, well things couldn't be any
easier than this.
1.Firstly, create a good
sized room (600x600x600) and place your info_player_start and a light in there.
2.On the roof of your room
place the SKY1 texture on there.
3. now using a textpad editor
(notepad, wordpad) open up the .map file.
4.At the top of the page
place this line into there
"sky"
"unit1_"
5.This will tell Quake2 to
use the unit1 sky texture where ever you placed the SKY1 texture.
6.You can look round the .pak
file and check out the other sky textures in the \Env directory you will see 9 sky
textures and one space texture which can bee seen in the end levels.
7.Compile the map and run it
in Quake2 and admire the cool sky.
